Hardwood Flooring Services in Atlanta
Technical Standards Behind the Work
Classy Flooring ATL works on residential flooring projects where layout, preparation, and finish selection matter. We apply NWFA standards, subfloor and site-condition evaluation, layout accuracy, and manufacturer requirements across installation, sanding, and finish application.
Hardwood Floor Installation
-
Starting at $3.50 / sq ft
Minimum project: 1,000 sq ft
Hardwood floor installation starts with evaluating the subfloor, the site conditions, the layout, and the material before work begins. From standard plank to more demanding installations, the goal is a floor that is installed correctly, aligned with the project conditions, and built to perform well over time.
Custom Pattern Installation
-
Starting at $7.00 / sq ft
Minimum project pricing applies
Custom pattern installation includes herringbone, chevron, and custom border work. These floors require exact pattern layout, border integration, and installation methods that protect the structural integrity of the floor system..
For custom border work, tongue-and-groove connections are used to integrate the border into the main floor system and support long-term stability.

Brass & Metal Inlay
-
Starting at $24.00 / linear foot
Priced by the design
Brass and metal inlay is solid metal routed into a hardwood floor — feature strips, borders, thresholds, and inlay set into custom pattern work. We specify solid C360 brass bar, cut at the full thickness of the floor, bedded flush in the flooring adhesive.
The metal is only as good as what sits under it. A solid brass bar is rigid, and it reports whatever the subfloor does, which is why the condition of the substrate is settled before the design is agreed.

Hardwood Floor Refinishing & Restoration
-
Starting at $6.00 / sq ft
Minimum project: $4,500
Hardwood floors that have become worn, scratched, or dull can be sanded back and refinished to restore the surface, without replacing the wood.
Hardwood floor refinishing requires material evaluation, controlled sanding, and the right finish system for the condition of the floor. We use dustless sanding equipment to reduce airborne dust and keep the process more controlled inside the home.
From custom stain colors to full finish updates, we use professional water-based systems, including Bona Traffic HD and LOBA 2K Duo, when the project calls for a durable, low-VOC finish with long-term performance.

Hardwood Floor Color Matching
-
Included in project scope
Priced with refinishing or installation
Color matching brings a refinished or newly installed floor into agreement with an existing floor. Color can be matched in two places: in the wood, with stain, or in the finish, with pigment carried in a coat of polyurethane. Which applies depends on the species involved and on whether the existing floor can be sanded.
Where both floors can be taken to bare wood and finished together, they receive the same sealer and finish coats at the same time. Where the existing floor is staying untouched, it becomes the reference and the match is built on the new side, verified against it before any finish is committed. Candidate colors go directly onto the client’s own floor and are judged in that room’s light.

Rubio Monocoat Hardwax Oil Finishing.
-
Starting at $6.00 / sq ft
Minimum project: $4,500
Hardwax oil finishing depends on the sanding. We sand the floor to a final 120 grit and prepare the surface carefully, because a penetrating oil takes on the condition of the wood beneath it — this preparation is the most important part of the work and what gives the floor an even, natural result.
We finish with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus 2C, a plant-based, zero-VOC hardwax oil that colors and protects the wood in a single coat. It bonds within the wood fibers and leaves a soft matte surface with the natural grain on full display, available in a wide range of colors including clear, with worn areas re-oiled and spot-repaired over the years.

Pine And Heart Pine Floor Refinishing And Restoration
-
Starting at $6.00 / sq ft
Minimum project: $4,500
We refinish and restore pine and heart pine floors across metro Atlanta and the surrounding North Georgia communities, including old floors that have been sanded before and reclaimed heart pine. All sanding is dustless, with the machines connected to a cyclone separator and collection drum.
Pine takes stain differently from oak, so we apply a dewaxed shellac wash coat before any color to keep it even across the boards. We stabilize splintered board edges and finish in LOBA 2K Duo or Berger-Seidle AquaSeal CeramicStar in satin. Where a floor has wide gaps and the client wants them closed, we fill them with an elastic trowel filler that moves with the floor through the seasons — quoted separately from the refinishing.

Engineered & Prefinished Flooring Installation
-
Starting at $4.00 / sq ft
Installation labor, material not included · Minimum project: 1,000 sq ft
Engineered and prefinished flooring installation starts with thorough subfloor preparation, moisture testing, and exact layout planning. Because these materials are often installed over concrete slabs or in wide-plank formats, verifying site conditions is mandatory before any work begins.
We execute the installation following manufacturer requirements for glue-down, nail-down, or floating applications. This process helps support a stable installation built for long-term performance.

Stair Refinishing & Tread Upgrades
-
Starting at $250 per tread
Project minimum applies
Stairs see concentrated foot traffic, so tread fit, finish durability, and stain matching all matter. Depending on the project, we refinish existing stairs, replace treads, and update risers.
We match stair finishes to prefinished and engineered flooring when the project calls for it. Whether we are refinishing existing wood or installing new treads, the work depends on the fit of the parts, the stair-to-floor transition, and a finish that will hold up well over time.
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) Installation
-
Starting at $3.75 / sq ft
Minimum project: 1,000 sq ft
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) installation depends on subfloor assessment, substrate flatness, and moisture conditions before the flooring goes down. Because flatness is one of the main factors affecting LVP performance, we prioritize technical evaluation and corrective floor leveling before installation begins.
For basements, concrete slabs, and other moisture-sensitive areas, we install the appropriate moisture barrier based on the conditions of the project. That focus on subfloor preparation helps support a stable installation and long-term performance
