Before work begins, we evaluate the floor condition, the subfloor, and the site so the process is designed correctly from the start. We sand with dustless equipment, including the American Sanders Epoch and FG Floortec Discus planetary sanders, with dust collected through FG Floortec dust-control vacuums and the DUSTIN cyclonic separator. We use professional finish systems including Bona Traffic HD, LOBA 2K Duo, and Rubio Monocoat, and installation methods that follow NWFA standards and manufacturer requirements throughout.

Custom Pattern Installation
Classy Flooring ATL installs custom hardwood patterns, including herringbone, chevron, Versailles parquet panels built by hand in our shop, medallions, and custom borders, as well as brass and metal inlay.
Herringbone can be made in our shop from the same plank as the rest of your floor, so the pattern matches the surrounding floor in species, color and finish.
Hardwood Floor Refinishing & Restoration
Classy Flooring ATL provides dustless refinishing and restoration for hardwood floors that need sanding, repair, custom stain colors, or a full finish update. We finish with water-based systems, including Bona Traffic HD and LOBA 2K Duo, or with Rubio Monocoat hardwax oil.
Color and finish are confirmed on your own floor, in your own light, before anything is committed. Dustless sanding is included in every price.
Engineered & Prefinished Flooring Installation
Classy Flooring ATL installs engineered, prefinished and solid hardwood floors over plywood and concrete, with subfloor preparation and moisture testing carried out by our in-house crew.
Each floor is installed to the flooring manufacturer’s instructions, the basis of its warranty. In high-rise buildings, we work to the building’s acoustic underlayment ratings and its elevator and common-area rules, as on our Buckhead and Atlantic Station projects.

What to Expect When You Work With Us
1. In-Person Consultation
Claudiu visits every project in person before any work is scheduled. He assesses the floor and subfloor conditions, listens to what you want to achieve, explains the options available, and takes accurate measurements. Following the consultation, you receive a detailed written estimate, any product research relevant to your project, and a personalized PDF outlining every step of your specific job.
2. Scope Confirmation and Scheduling
Once the scope is agreed and the project is scheduled, you know exactly what will happen, in what order, and what to expect at each stage.
3. Execution With Daily Communication
Every morning you receive a text with the team’s arrival time. Throughout the job, updates are sent by text, email, or call — whichever you prefer. At the end of each workday, we go over what was completed and what happens next: in person when you are at the house, or by photos and videos when you are away. If you prefer fewer updates, we adapt to that.
4. Final Walkthrough and Care Handoff
When the work is complete, Claudiu walks through the finished floor with you in person, answers any questions, and explains exactly how to maintain your floors for long-term performance.

From the very beginning, Claudiu’s team was professional, honest, and extremely communicative. Claudiu walked me through exactly what to expect, kept me updated daily with videos of the progress, and was transparent every step of the way. At one point, he even honored a pricing mistake that worked against him, which says everything about his integrity.
When I bought my home, the floors were in rough shape. The front half had heavily scuffed hardwood, and the back half was covered in worn carpet. Claudiu refinished the existing hardwood and installed new hardwood in the rest of the house, and the transformation was seamless. The floors look absolutely beautiful.
